The shares of this company, which offers a comprehensive range of travel-related products and services under the flagship brand ‘Ease My Trip’ and also provides end-to-end travel solutions, including airline tickets, hotels and holiday packages, rail tickets, bus tickets and more, had its share in the news after the company witnessed a surge in its volumes after introducing its Christmas and New Year travel plan. 

With a market cap of Rs 3,062 crore, the shares of Easy Trip Planners Ltd gained 20 per cent, hitting the upper price band, reaching a high of Rs 8.56 in today’s trading session when compared to its previous day’s closing price of Rs 7.14. The shares are trading at a PE of 56.5, whereas the industry PE is 42.1.

EaseMyTrip’s new Winter Carnival Sale is timed perfectly for people planning Christmas and New Year trips, a period when travel usually becomes expensive and chaotic. By running the sale from December 2 to 9, the company is giving travellers a chance to lock in winter plans with meaningful savings, whether it’s 14% off on flights, 25% off on hotels, or budget holiday packages starting at Rs 7,999. With extra bank offers and perks from partner brands, the campaign feels designed to make year-end travel easier on the wallet and simpler to book.

At a broader level, this launch showcases EaseMyTrip’s push to stay ahead in the crowded travel space. The sale covers a massive lineup of airline and hotel partners, ensuring that travellers aren’t limited by choice or destination. Combined with the company’s “zero convenience fee” positioning, the campaign reinforces EaseMyTrip’s image as a value-driven platform that understands customer needs during peak season. With big discounts, wide coverage, and curated holiday packages, the Winter Carnival Sale is meant to spark early winter bookings and strengthen the company’s connection with frequent travellers.

Following the news, the shares witnessed a trading volume of 283 million, whereas the shares in the previous week were trading at an average volume of 7 million; this is almost 34 times its average volume, which led to the 20% share price jump.

The revenue from operations stands at Rs 145 crore in Q2 FY25 and Rs 118 crore in Q2 FY26, showcasing a YoY fall of 17%. Along with the sales, the profits also fell from Rs 27 crore in Q2 FY25 to an Rs 36 crore loss in Q2 FY26.
