The project will be executed over 15 months and strengthens the company’s presence in intelligent railway surveillance systems.

Magellanic Cloudshares were trading at Rs. 27.37 apiece on the National Stock Exchange; the stock has declined around 0.44 percent over the last five sessions, while it has surged about 5.11 percent in the 30 days.

Magellanic Cloud Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance Limited, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from South Eastern Railway, Kharagpur Division, for an aggregate project value of approximately Rs. 3.44 crore.

The order involves the supply, installation, commissioning, and integration of AI-led CCTV surveillance systems along with networking infrastructure and centralized monitoring systems at Goods Sheds under the Kharagpur Division. The project also includes modernization and upgradation of infrastructure at Kharagpur and PKU Goods Sheds.

The company stated that the project is expected to be completed within a period of 15 months. The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not fall under related party transactions. Additionally, the promoter group does not have any interest in the awarding authority.

From a strategic perspective, the order strengthens Magellanic Cloud’s growing presence in AI-powered e-surveillance and intelligent infrastructure solutions. Railway and logistics environments involve large operational zones with constant movement of cargo, vehicles, and personnel, making traditional surveillance systems less effective for real-time monitoring and incident response.

AI-based surveillance systems are increasingly being adopted across transportation infrastructure to improve operational intelligence, asset protection, safety monitoring, and automated anomaly detection. Such systems can help railway authorities identify unauthorized access, monitor movement patterns, and improve incident response capabilities through centralized real-time monitoring.

The project also reflects the broader digital transformation trend within India’s railway and logistics infrastructure sector, where increasing focus is being placed on smart monitoring systems, automation, and AI-driven operational efficiency. Rising investments in railway modernization and infrastructure digitization are creating long-term opportunities for technology and surveillance solution providers.

Commenting on the development, the company highlighted that intelligent AI-powered digital systems are becoming critical for large-scale operational environments and that the company remains focused on strengthening its presence in AI-powered e-surveillance, centralized monitoring systems, and critical infrastructure technology solutions across sectors such as transportation and logistics.

Overall, the Rs. 3.44 crore railway surveillance project enhances revenue visibility for Provigil Surveillance Limited while strengthening Magellanic Cloud’s positioning in the growing intelligent surveillance and infrastructure technology segment. Future growth for the company will depend on continued order inflows, execution capabilities, and expanding adoption of AI-driven monitoring systems across infrastructure sectors.
