Synopsis: Alpex Solar bags ₹40.92 crore MSEDCL order under PM KUSUM B for solar water pumps (3–7.5 HP) across Maharashtra, including 5-year maintenance and RMS, to be completed in 60 days.

Company wins government contract to power farms across Maharashtra with solar energy. Alpex Solar Limited has secured a major government order worth Rs. 40.92 crore.

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MSEDCL) awarded the contract under the “Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump” Yojana. The scheme also runs under the Centre’s PM KUSUM B programme. This order marks a significant step for clean energy in Indian agriculture.

The announcement drew attention in the stock market. Alpex Solar’s shares had recently traded at Rs. 1,034, surging 2.47 from the previous closing price of Rs. 1,009.30. The stock swung between Rs. 1,006 and Rs. 1,034 in that session. Investor sentiment around the company has clearly strengthened on the back of order momentum.

The contract involves the full lifecycle of solar water pump systems. Alpex Solar will design, manufacture, supply, transport, install, test, and commission the systems. The pumps come in three capacities 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP. Additionally, the company will maintain all systems for five years. A Remote Monitoring System (RMS) will also be set up under the contract. The project is purely domestic in nature.

MSEDCL expects Alpex Solar to finish the work within 60 days. The deadline starts from the date of issue of the work order. The contract value stands at Rs. 40.92 crore. The company will carry out the project strictly as per the terms of the work order.

The PM KUSUM B scheme aims to give farmers solar-powered irrigation tools. It reduces their dependence on diesel and grid electricity. Maharashtra runs this as the “Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump” Yojana. The programme directly supports farmers by cutting input costs. Therefore, this order goes beyond business it serves a broader public goal. Alpex Solar’s selection signals growing trust in the company as a reliable solar solutions provider.
