The shares of a prominent shipbuilding company gained up to 5 percent in today’s session after the company reported robust results in Q3FY26 and also declared a second Interim Dividend.
With a market capitalisation of Rs 29,558.43 crore, the shares of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd were trading at Rs 2,578.00 per share, increasing around 2.32 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 2,519.45 apiece.
Q3FY26 Highlights
The shares of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd have seen significant movement after announcing its financial performance in Q3FY26, in which revenue increased by 49 percent on a year-on-year basis from Rs 1,271 crore in Q3FY25 to Rs 1,896 crore in Q3FY26. However, on a Quarter-on-Quarter basis, revenue increased by 13 percent from Rs 1,677 crore in Q2FY26 to Rs 1,896 crore in Q3FY26.
Moreover, net profit increased by 74 percent on a yearly basis from Rs 98 crore in Q3FY25 to Rs 171 crore in Q3FY26, meanwhile, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, net profit increased by 11 percent from Rs 154 crore in Q2FY26 to Rs 171 crore in Q3FY26. The Board of Directors of the Company has declared a 2nd Interim Dividend for the Financial Year 2025-26 at Rs 7.15/- per equity share of face value of Rs 10/- each, amounting to Rs 81.90 crore.
The company delivered a strong Q3FY26 performance, driven by robust operational growth. EBITDA surged 59% year-on-year to Rs 234 crore, reflecting improved margins and efficiency. Total income rose 46% to Rs 1,958 crore, indicating healthy demand momentum. EPS jumped to Rs 14.91, highlighting significantly enhanced profitability and shareholder value.
Additionally, GRSE has taken a strategic step to diversify its engineering portfolio. By signing an MoU with K2 Cranes & Components, the company strengthens its presence in marine, defence and shipyard equipment manufacturing. This partnership supports Atmanirbhar Bharat, reduces import dependence, opens global opportunities, and reinforces GRSE’s long-term growth beyond warship construction.
