Synopsis: Magellanic Cloud Limited, through its wholly owned subsidiary Provigil Surveillance Limited, has secured a Rs. 6.93 crore order from South Central Railway for advanced CCTV surveillance systems across 15 railway stations. Combined with an earlier Rs. 6.25 crore order from the same railway division, the company’s railway surveillance order wins have reached Rs. 13.18 crore within a week.
Shares of Magellanic Cloud Limited are likely to remain in focus after its wholly owned subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance Limited, received a Letter of Acceptance worth Rs. 6.93 crore from South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division, for deploying advanced surveillance infrastructure across 15 railway stations.
Magellanic Cloud Limited has a total market capitalization of approximately Rs. 1712.42 crore. The company’s shares were trading at Rs. 29.06 apiece on the stock exchange, down by 1.86 percent. The stock has declined 4.88 percent over the last five trading sessions, while it has gained 9 percent over the last month. The stock touched a 52-week high of Rs. 105.42 and a 52-week low of Rs. 19.40.
According to the company’s exchange filing, the latest order is valued at Rs. 6.93 crore and follows an earlier Rs. 6.25 crore railway surveillance project awarded by the same South Central Railway division. With the latest contract, the cumulative value of railway surveillance orders secured by the company from the Vijayawada Division has reached Rs. 13.18 crore within a week.
The latest project involves the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of advanced IP-based CCTV surveillance systems across 15 railway stations. These include Vijayawada, Tenali, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Gudivada, Bhimavaram, Narasapur and Machilipatnam, among other stations under the Vijayawada Division.
The scope of work includes the deployment of IP-based CCTV cameras, Network Video Recorders, optical fibre connectivity, networking infrastructure and associated Signalling and Telecommunication works. The project is scheduled to be executed over the next 12 months, providing revenue visibility during the execution period.
The consecutive order wins from the same railway division strengthen Magellanic Cloud’s position in the railway surveillance and critical infrastructure security segment. Repeat orders can also indicate growing execution credentials, while the deployment of integrated surveillance infrastructure across multiple stations could help the company qualify for similar large-scale security modernisation projects.
Beyond conventional CCTV deployment, the project aligns with Magellanic Cloud’s focus on AI-enabled video surveillance, Video Management Systems and intelligent public safety solutions. As railway stations increasingly adopt connected surveillance and digital monitoring infrastructure, the company can leverage its technology capabilities to expand beyond hardware installation into integrated, technology-driven security solutions.
Indian Railways’ continued focus on passenger safety, station modernisation and digital infrastructure is creating opportunities for companies involved in surveillance, networking and intelligent monitoring systems. The growing adoption of IP-based cameras, fibre connectivity and AI-supported video analytics could increase demand for integrated technology providers capable of executing projects across large transportation networks.
For investors, the development strengthens Magellanic Cloud’s order pipeline in the railway surveillance segment and highlights the growing contribution of its technology subsidiaries. The cumulative Rs. 13.18 crore in railway orders secured within a week also demonstrates momentum in its critical infrastructure business, while successful execution could strengthen its credentials for future railway and public safety projects.
