OM Power Transmission Shares Gain Over 2.5% After Q4 Profit Jumps 93% QoQ; Revenue Crosses ₹175 Cr

Om Power Transmission Limited is an infrastructure-focused company engaged in the execution of hydro-power, transmission, and water infrastructure projects across India. The company has steadily expanded its presence in the power sector by leveraging rising investments in transmission networks and renewable energy infrastructure. 

Om Power Transmission Limited has a market capitalization of Rs. 667 crore, with the stock trading at Rs. 195 up by 2.89% compared to its previous close of Rs. 190. The company touched a 52-week high of Rs. 206 and a low of Rs. 175. 

The stock is currently trading at a P/E ratio of 16.6, while the company has delivered strong return ratios with ROCE at 42.7 percent and ROE at 38.2 percent, indicating efficient capital utilization and healthy profitability. 

The company reported revenue from operations of Rs. 174.62 crore in Q4 FY26, compared to Rs. 103.67 crore in Q3 FY26, registering a strong sequential growth of 68.4 percent. On a year-on-year basis, revenue increased by 67.2 percent from Rs. 104.44 crore reported in Q4 FY25. The sharp jump in revenue was mainly supported by higher execution of project-related work and improved order flow from the power and infrastructure segment. 

Total income stood at Rs. 175.27 crore during the quarter, up from Rs. 104.36 crore in the previous quarter and Rs. 104.94 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The strong rise reflects healthy operational momentum and improved business activity during the quarter. 

Profit before tax came in at Rs. 22.14 crore in Q4 FY26, compared to Rs. 10.86 crore in Q3 FY26, marking a sequential growth of 103.8 percent. However, on a year-on-year basis, profit before tax increased by 29.3 percent from Rs. 16.91 crore in Q4 FY25. The improvement in profitability was supported by strong revenue growth and better operating leverage despite higher project-related expenses. 

Net profit for the quarter stood at Rs. 16.65 crore, rising sharply by 92.9 percent from Rs. 8.63 crore reported in Q3 FY26. Compared to Rs. 12.20 crore in Q4 FY25, net profit increased by 36.5 percent year-on-year. The growth in earnings reflects improved project execution, better scale benefits, and stronger operational performance during the quarter. 

Industry Outlook 

India’s power and transmission sector continues to witness strong investment momentum supported by rising electricity demand, renewable energy expansion, and government-led infrastructure spending. India currently has an installed power capacity of over 505 GW, while the country plans to invest nearly Rs. 9.15 lakh crore by 2032 to strengthen transmission infrastructure and grid connectivity. 

The sector is also expected to attract investments worth Rs. 17 lakh crore over the next five to seven years, driven by renewable integration, transmission upgrades, and energy security initiatives. With increasing focus on grid modernization and clean energy expansion, companies operating in the transmission and infrastructure segment are expected to benefit from sustained long-term opportunities. 

Om Power Transmission delivered a strong Q4 FY26 performance with significant growth in revenue and profitability on both sequential and yearly basis. The sharp improvement in earnings reflects healthy project execution and rising opportunities in India’s expanding power infrastructure sector.
