SRM Contractors Q4 Profit Jumps 125% YoY; Revenue Surges Above 95% in FY26 

Synopsis: SRM Contractors Ltd reported a strong Q4 FY26 performance with sharp growth in revenue and profitability driven by higher project execution and improved operational efficiency. SRM Contractors Ltd operates in the infrastructure and civil construction segment, primarily focusing on road projects, tunnel construction, slope stabilization works, and other engineering contracts. The company undertakes projects across government and infrastructure development sectors. With increasing investments in roads, transportation, and public infrastructure projects.

SRM Contractors currently has a market capitalization of Rs. 1,249 crore, while the stock trades around Rs. 528 down by 0.40% compared to its previous close of Rs. 531. The company trades at a P/E ratio of 15.4 and has reported strong return ratios with ROCE of 33.2% and ROE of 27.2%. The book value of the company stands at Rs. 130 per share. 

SRM Contractors reported revenue from operations of Rs. 445.75 crore in Q4 FY26 compared to Rs. 231.21 crore in Q3 FY26, registering a strong sequential growth of around 93%. On a year-on-year basis, revenue increased sharply by nearly 96% compared to Rs. 227.57 crore reported in Q4 FY25, reflecting strong project execution and higher order activity during the quarter. 

Total expenses stood at Rs. 381.30 crore during Q4 FY26 compared to Rs. 194.43 crore in Q3 FY26, reflecting an increase of around 96% due to higher project execution activity. Compared to Rs. 201.24 crore reported in Q4 FY25, expenses increased nearly 89% year-on-year. 

Profit before tax stood at Rs. 69.80 crore in Q4 FY26 compared to Rs. 37.26 crore in Q3 FY26, reflecting a strong sequential growth of around 87%. Compared to Rs. 33.03 crore reported in Q4 FY25, PBT jumped approximately 111% year-on-year. 

Net profit came in at Rs. 54.09 crore during Q4 FY26 against Rs. 24.10 crore in Q3 FY26, registering a sharp rise of around 124% sequentially. On a yearly basis, net profit surged nearly 125% compared to Rs. 24.08 crore reported in Q4 FY25. 

Industry Outlook 

India’s infrastructure sector continues to remain one of the biggest growth drivers for the economy, supported by rising government capex and large-scale development initiatives. In the Union Budget FY26, capital expenditure allocation was increased to Rs. 11.21 lakh crore, equivalent to 3.1% of GDP. India is also expected to spend nearly Rs. 143 lakh crore on infrastructure development through 2030, supported by highways, railways, tunnels, logistics parks, and smart urban projects. 

The construction and engineering sector is witnessing strong momentum due to government programs such as PM Gati Shakti, Bharatmala, Smart Cities Mission, and rural infrastructure expansion. Increasing investments in roads, transportation corridors, irrigation projects, and urban development are expected to create significant long-term opportunities for infrastructure companies. Rising private participation and faster project execution are also supporting sector growth across India. 

SRM Contractors delivered a strong Q4 FY26 performance with sharp growth in revenue and profitability on both quarterly and yearly bases. The company nearly doubled its revenue and net profit during FY26, highlighting strong execution capabilities and improving operational scale.
