Timken India Shares in Focus After Q4 Profit Jumps 190% QoQ But Declines 17% YoY; Company Announces ₹2.50 Dividend 

Synopsis: Timken India Ltd reported a healthy performance in Q4 FY26 with strong sequential growth in revenue and profitability. The industrial bearing manufacturer also announced a dividend of Rs. 2.50 per equity share for FY26. 

Timken India Ltd is one of the leading manufacturers of engineered bearings and power transmission products in India. The company caters to sectors including railways, automotive, industrial equipment, construction, mining, and heavy engineering. 

India’s capital goods and engineering sector continues to witness strong momentum driven by infrastructure spending, manufacturing expansion, railway modernization, and rising industrial investments. Government-led capex and private sector participation are creating long-term opportunities for industrial equipment manufacturers. 

Timken India currently has a market capitalization of around Rs. 26,198 crore, while the stock trades near Rs. 3,475 up by 1.15% compared to its previous close of Rs. 3,435. The company has a stock P/E ratio of 65.8 and a book value of Rs. 395. 

The stock remains close to its 52-week high levels, supported by strong fundamentals and healthy return ratios. Timken India reported an ROCE of 18.3% and ROE of 13.7%, reflecting stable operational performance and efficient capital utilization. 

Q4 FY26 Financial Performance Analysis 

Timken India reported revenue from operations of Rs. 1,089.83 crore in Q4 FY26, registering a growth of 14.5% YoY from Rs. 951.46 crore in Q4 FY25 and a strong 39.8% QoQ increase compared to Rs. 779.67 crore in Q3 FY26. Total income stood at Rs. 1,090.64 crore during the quarter against Rs. 965.68 crore in the year-ago period and Rs. 786.82 crore in the previous quarter. 

The company’s profitability improved significantly during the quarter. Profit before tax rose to Rs. 212.03 crore in Q4 FY26, up 2.8% YoY from Rs. 206.22 crore in Q4 FY25 and sharply higher by 171% QoQ compared to Rs. 78.24 crore in Q3 FY26. Operating performance also strengthened due to improved demand and better margin expansion. 

Net profit after tax came in at Rs. 158.31 crore during Q4 FY26, reflecting a decline of 16.8% YoY from Rs. 190.31 crore reported in Q4 FY25. However, on a sequential basis, net profit surged 190% QoQ compared to Rs. 54.56 crore posted in Q3 FY26. Earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs. 21.05 for the quarter. 

The Board of Directors recommended a dividend of Rs. 2.50 per equity share having a face value of Rs. 10 each for FY26. The dividend will be paid after receiving shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. 

Industry Outlook 

India’s electrical equipment and capital goods market is expected to witness strong growth in the coming years, supported by rising infrastructure investments, railway modernization, manufacturing expansion, and industrial automation. Government capex of over Rs. 11 lakh crore and continued focus on infrastructure development are expected to drive long-term sector demand. 

The capital goods sector is also benefiting from favorable government policies, 100% FDI support, and increasing private investment across roads, railways, urban infrastructure, and power projects. Rising industrial production and export opportunities are likely to support growth for engineering and industrial equipment companies. 

Timken India delivered a strong Q4 FY26 performance led by sharp sequential growth in revenue and profitability. Improved operational efficiency, margin expansion, and rising industrial demand supported the company’s earnings recovery during the quarter. The announcement of a Rs. 2.50 dividend further strengthened investor confidence.
