SYNOPSIS: RNIT AI Solutions secured a Tier-2 project worth up to Rs. 10 crore from Andhra Pradesh’s Legal Metrology Department to build an AI-driven digital platform, marking its first engagement with the department and expanding its e-governance portfolio.

During Friday’s trading session, shares of an Indian technology company specialising in AI-enabled governance and enterprise automation solutions surged nearly 6 percent on BSE, after the company announced signing an agreement with the Department of Legal Metrology, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

At 10:34 a.m., the shares of RNIT AI Solutions Limited were trading in the green at Rs. 58.34 on BSE, up by around 3 percent, as against its previous closing price of Rs. 56.76, with a market cap of Rs. 436.3 crores.

What’s the News:

According to recent filings with the BSE, RNIT AI Solutions Limited has executed an Agreement with the Department of Legal Metrology, Government of Andhra Pradesh, for a project valued at up to Rs. 10 crore.

This engagement marks RNIT’s first collaboration with the Legal Metrology Department and represents a key addition to its expanding e-governance portfolio. Under the agreement, the company will build and deploy an AI-driven digital platform designed to modernise and streamline departmental operations through end-to-end digitisation.

The scope of work includes the design, development, and implementation of an AI-enabled digital platform for the Legal Metrology Department to automate workflows, licensing, verification and inspection processes. The platform will feature dashboards, MIS reporting tools, payment gateway integration, stakeholder login systems, database management, automated alerts, notifications, and both web and mobile applications.

This project falls under RNIT’s Tier-2 project category. As per the company’s project classification, Tier-1 projects include orders up to Rs. 1 crore. Tier-2 projects cover orders ranging from Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 10 crore. Tier-3 projects consist of larger orders between Rs. 10 crore and Rs. 50 crore, while Tier-4 projects represent major assignments valued at over Rs. 50 crore.

RNIT AI Solutions reported a significant growth in revenue from operations, experiencing a year-on-year increase of nearly 92 percent, from Rs. 7.14 crores in Q2 FY25 to Rs. 13.7 crores in Q2 FY26.

Likewise, the company’s net profit increased during the same period, from Rs. 1.6 crores to Rs. 3.25 crores, reflecting an impressive rise of more than 103 percent YoY.
