Stock jumps 12%: Waste management stock receives ₹330 Cr order from Thane Municipal Corp.

Synopsis: The shares of the company surged today after its subsidiary received an order worth Rs.329.45 for a development work in Maharashtra by TMC.
The shares of the company engaged in the business of mechanical power sweeping of roads, collection and transportation of waste, and waste-to-energy projects are in focus after the company received a work order from Thane Municipal Corporation, Mumbai.
With a market capitalization of Rs. 1,543.13 crore, Antony Waste Handling Cell Ltd’s shares on Tuesday made a day high of Rs. 555.20 per share, up by 11.82 percent from its previous day’s close of Rs. 496.50 per share. The share has given a negative return of 13.15 percent over the last one year.
Significant Order:
Antony Lara Enviro Solutions Private Limited, a subsidiary of Antony Waste, has received an order worth Rs. 329 crore from Thane Municipal Corporation, Thane (TMC), Maharashtra to be executed in a period of 10 years.
This is a long-term Municipal solid waste management project, for the development of a 600 to 800 TPD Mixed Solid Waste Processing Plant on Design, Build, Operate & Transfer (DBOT) based on TMC Owned Land at Atkoli, Taluka Bhiwandi.
With a total capex for the development to be around Rs. 67 crore, which will be reimbursed by TMC on achievement of milestones as stated in the Tender. The rest of Rs. 262 crore is for Comprehensive Operation & Maintenance of the said project for a period of 10 Years.
Jose Jacob, Chairman & Managing Director of the company added in the order filing that this project represents a step in the continued expansion of the company’s long-term municipal infrastructure portfolio. Building on their established C&T operations, this project will further strengthen the firm’s relationship with Thane Municipal Authority.

Antony Waste Handling Cell Ltd is engaged in the business of mechanical power sweeping of roads, collection and transportation of waste, waste to energy project and undertake the designing, construction, operation and maintenance of the integrated waste management facility in Kanjurmarg, Mumbai.
Financial performance, revenue from operations grew by 16 percent YoY to Rs. 258 crore with segment break up of 61 percent from MSW collection & transportation, 27 percent from MSW processing and 12 percent from contracts & others.
EBIDT grew by 17 percent to Rs. 49.9 crore in Q2 FY26, corresponding to the same quarter in the last year. Accompanied by Net profit growth of 13 percent YoY to Rs. 17.3 crore in Q2 FY26 and EPS growth of 13 percent YoY to Rs. 4.81 per share in Q2 FY26.
