The shares of this pharmaceutical formulation company, which researches, develops, and commercializes specialty products and generic prescription drugs, gained investor attention after strong Q4 results.

With a market capitalization of Rs 18,585 crore, Rubicon Research Ltd’s share on Monday made a day high of Rs 1,115.60 per share, up by 15 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs 1,004 per share. The share of the company gave a return of 80 percent since its listing in October 2025.

Results Overview and Divided

QoQ View: The revenue from operations grew by 8.1 percent to Rs 513.9 crore in Q4 FY26 from Rs 475.5 crore in Q3 FY26, and Operating EBITDA grew by 9.8 percent to Rs 118.7 crore in Q4 FY26 from Rs 108.1 crore in Q3 FY26. This was accompanied by a net profit growth of 5.5 percent to Rs 76.8 crore in Q4 FY26 from Rs 72.8 crore in Q3 FY26, resulting in an EPS growth of 4.3 percent to Rs 4.60 per share from Rs 4.41 per share in Q3 FY26.

YoY View: The revenue from operations grew by 43.5 percent to Rs 513.9 crore in Q4 FY26 from Rs 358.1 crore in Q4 FY25, and Operating EBITDA grew by 63.8 percent to Rs 118.7 crore in Q4 FY26 from Rs 72.5 crore in Q4 FY25. This was accompanied by a net profit growth of 111.8 percent to Rs 76.8 crore in Q4 FY26 from Rs 36.2 crore in Q4 FY25, resulting in an EPS growth of 97.0 percent to Rs 4.60 per share in Q4 FY26 from Rs 2.34 per share in Q4 FY25.

Fiscal Year Comparison: The annual revenue from operations grew by 36.6 percent to Rs 1,754.0 crore in FY26 from Rs 1,284.3 crore in FY25. and Annual Operating EBITDA rose 51.5 percent to Rs 400.2 crore in FY26 compared to Rs 264.3 crore in FY25.

Annual net profit (PAT) grew by 83.6 percent to Rs 246.7 crore in FY26 up from Rs 134.4 crore in FY25, bringing the full-year EPS to Rs 15.31 per share compared to Rs 8.68 per share in the prior year.

Dividend: The Board has recommended a dividend of 150 percent, equivalent to Rs 1.50 per equity share of face value Re. 1 for FY26. The proposed dividend translates into a payout ratio of approximately 10 percent of the company’s earnings for the year, subject to shareholders’ approval at the upcoming AGM.

Q4 Robust business performance

  • Strong USD Revenue Growth: The company reported USD revenue of $56 million in Q4FY26, driven by strong export demand. Revenue grew 35 percent YoY from Q4FY25 and 4 percent QoQ from Q3FY26. Nearly 98 percent of total revenue remains denominated in US dollars, highlighting its export-focused business model.
  • Healthy Cash Generation: Cash flow from operations stood at Rs 656 million in Q4FY26 despite income tax payments of Rs 501 million during the quarter. The strong cash generation reflects healthy business fundamentals and efficient working capital management.
  • Product Approvals Momentum: The company received 12 product approvals during FY26, while 24 products remained under USFDA review as of March 31, 2026. Around 92 percent of approved products have been commercialised, demonstrating a strong execution and launch track record.
  • Growth Backed by Expansion: The Pithampur facility has been qualified, and one product has been filed with the USFDA. Management expects production ramp-up in Q1 CY27, which could support margin improvement. The specialty portfolio contributed 32.8 percent of gross profit in Q4FY26, supporting future growth.
